The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.

The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
