Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
