Debated US-backed Gaza Relief Group Terminates Humanitarian Work
The controversial, American and Israeli-supported Gaza relief foundation says it is winding down its relief activities in the Gaza region, subsequent to approximately 180 days.

Organization Timeline
The organization commenced activities in Gaza on late May, a week after Israeli authorities had somewhat relaxed a comprehensive closure on humanitarian and trade shipments to Gaza that lasted 11 weeks and resulted in critical deficits of necessary provisions.
Three months later, a food crisis was announced in the Palestinian urban center.
The organization's sustenance provision locations in southern and central Gaza were operated by US private security contractors and located inside Israeli military zones.
Humanitarian Concerns
International organizations and their affiliates said the approach violated the fundamental humanitarian principles of objectivity, fairness and autonomy, and that guiding distressed residents into militarised zones was fundamentally dangerous.
International human rights monitoring body stated it documented the killing of at least 859 Palestinians seeking food in the vicinity of GHF sites between 26 May and 31 July.
