Beloved Performer The actor Pat Finn, Known For Roles in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
American performer Finn, who appeared in beloved television series including Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in LA on Monday having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, according to media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones shared in a message.
They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".
A Notable Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of hit series, including:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils during his career and it would be difficult to find a person who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, peer actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted publicly.
Finn is leaves behind his spouse Donna, three children, and his family.
